Methods to close “NOT RESPONDING” Applications!!!

Hiii friends, Iam going to share the tips that how you can close a NOT RESPONDING APPLICATION in different ways easily…
“This program is not responding” is a very common error message which you get in Windows. Many times we find a program not responding and we have to perform an End Task operation on it using Task Manager.

There are totally four methods to close an not responding application…

Method 1: Using Keyboard Shortcuts…
Press Alt+F4 Usually, this will quit the browser and any programs which are open…
Method 2: Using Task Manager…
Step 1: Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc. This will open Task Manager or press Ctrl+Alt+Del, then click on “Start Task Manager“…

Step 2: Click on the unresponsive program. It should become highlighted… 

Step 3: If there are additional unresponsive programs, Ctrl+Click on the additional programs. Any action you initiate will be performed on all the highlighted items and only on the highlighted items…

Step 4: Click End Task. Then the computer will try to shut down the selected program(s).
Method 3: Restarting the Computer…
Press Win key then click on Restart
Method 4: Creating A Shortcut to close Not responding Applications…

Step 1: Right-click on Desktop and select “New -> Shortcut“…

Step 2: It’ll launch “Create Shortcut” wizard. Now enter following string in location box…
taskkill /F /FI “STATUS eq NOT RESPONDING”
Step 3: After entering, click “Next” button. Now type Kill Not Responding Tasks in name box and click on “Finish” button. It’ll create a new shortcut on Desktop…

Step 4: Now its time to change the icon. Right-click on the shortcut and select “Properties“. Click on “Change Icon” button. Type explorer.exe in text box and press Enter. Select the 3rd icon in 3rd column, click on OK button and then Apply the changes…

Step 5: That’s it. You’ll get the desired shortcut on Desktop…
